Introducing Shooson — a running coach that adapts to you & keeps your data private

We built the running app we always wanted: no ads, no social feed, no Big Tech, and a plan that reshapes itself every single week around your life.

Running apps have a problem. The big ones are packed with social feeds, high costs, leaderboards that are unrealistic, aggressive upsells and kilometre after kilometre of your data shipped off to ad servers. The smaller ones hand you a static PDF plan and call it a coach. We wanted something in the middle — personal, private and actually smart. So we built Shooson.

What Shooson does

Shooson is a running coach for your phone and watch. It aims to be motivational, fun, private by default and accessable to as many as possible

Currently we aim to support all levels with plans to progress as far as you do:

  • Couch to 5K — your very first run to your very first finish line (We all started here and LOVE this plan!)
  • Bridge to 10K — push past 5K to the next milestone
  • 10K to half marathon — bridge the gap to 21K
  • First marathon — the 42K full distance, mapped out week by week
  • First 50K ultra — the deep end

Or more active coaching personalised to you to improve towards a goal:

  • Adaptive - We are proud of this one! This plan will coach you to improve towards a goal e.g. distance or pace and evolve each week by reviewing your past performance.

Just tell shooson which days of the week you can run, and the plan is shaped around your life — not some fixed schedule that assumes you have Tuesdays free.

A plan that actually adapts

Most apps give you a plan and leave you to adjust it when life gets in the way. Shooson rebuilds itself every week. Smashed a long run and came home with energy to spare? It pushes harder next week. Missed three days with a cold? It rebalances without guilt-tripping you.

The coach does the planning so you just have to run.

On every wrist

Sessions sync automatically to Apple Watch, Garmin and Wear OS. You get segment cues, heart-rate zones and the ability to skip a segment right from your wrist. No watch? On-phone audio coaching has you covered too. Also our watch app gently nudges (not annoys) you if you drift off plan!

Kilometres you can taste

Every run earns you something tangible — measured in the food or drink you actually love. Two beers. One burger. A stack of pancakes. Pick your reward and every kilometre ticks toward something you’d brag about.

Built for privacy, hosted in Europe

No password. No email confirmation loop. No social profile. No ads. No data sold to anyone.

Shooson is designed, built and hosted entirely in the EU. Your running data never touches a Big Tech server. Privacy isn’t a settings toggle here — it’s the foundation everything else is built on.

Shooson is now in private beta. We’re looking for early runners to help us test adaptive plans, watch integrations and the landmark journey feature.
